Position Overview:
The Accounting Supervisor supervises the accurate completion of the day-to-day functions of the accounting department. Ensures complete, accurate, timely and consistent financial reporting. Ensures compliance with organizational and governmental policies and procedures.
Organization Chart:
The Accounting Supervisor falls under the Business Operations Division, directly reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.
Major Functional Objectives:
- Manage and Oversee the daily operations of accounting department
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Meets accounting financial objectives by forecast requirements; preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data, preparing special reports
- Perform month-end and year-end close process
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports or statements
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly, quarterly and yearly financial information to management , parent company and Board meeting
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, polices and principles
- Monitor in the daily banking requirements
- Coordinate and complete internal/external audits to ensure compliance
- Work with CPA for tax related issues , filing Sales and Used Tax quarterly online, property statement (Form 571) and shareholders dividend distribution (Form 1042) annually
- Guide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy, applying observations and recommendations to operational issues
- Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
- Work with each direct report staff to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff
- Work with insurance broker for various insurance policies renewal applications
Work in special projects as required

Basic Requirements:
- Three years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Experience working in pharmaceutical or other high tech manufacturing environment is preferred
- SAP experience
- BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting
- Speak, and Read Mandarin Chinese a plus
